speech should be a protected category (like race, religion, etc.)

By this I mean that employers should be banned from taking speech into account in employment decisions.

Perhaps this should come with certain rare exemptions (like how employers are currently generally not allowed to discriminate by religion, but there is an exemption for religious organizations).
